About Us

Bellingham At Home was formed in 2016 to offer seniors practical assistance and a supportive community to enhance their quality of life today and develop peace of mind about the future.

We embrace a progressive view of aging that enables members to live independently in their own homes while engaging with their world to the full extent of their desires and abilities. Our flexible approach allows members to tap into our community programs and services as they need them, when they want them, and to make and enjoy lasting friendships.

Importantly, we are a volunteer-run organization. This means that we provide myriad opportunities for members and others to fully express their own talents, interests, creativity, and ideas while helping others.

BAH is a program of the not-for-profit Whatcom Council on Aging, housed in and capitalizing on the wealth of activities offered by the Bellingham Senior Activity Center.

We’re also part of a national network of grassroots villages built on the model of the Beacon Hill Village in Boston, which was formed in 2001 by a cadre of caring neighbors hoping to change the paradigm of aging.
