Membership Frequently Asked Questions

If volunteers provide the services, why is there a membership fee?

Bellingham At Home maintains an office, considered to be the "command center".  Although many office staff are volunteers, membership fees are used to pay for:

- Printed resource materials
- Advertising
- Insurance
- Office overhead
- Technical infrastructure (computer hardware and Club Express software)
- Membership in the Village to Village Network
- Part time paid staff

Do members receive an informational packet?

Upon signing up, a household will receive a member handbook. In addition the website is a great source of information.

Can members be able to give feedback about volunteers?

Yes, we always welcome feedback, both positive and critical. Please let our office staff or Program Manager know if you have feedback about assistance, volunteers, social events, or anything related to Bellingham At Home's work.
